Located in Childe Street, on the beachfront at Belongil Beach.
Distance to town centre is approx 2 kms (per google maps)
Belongil beach starts at the western side of Main Beach car park, and has particular appeal to surfers thanks to The Wreck. Emerging from the sea just here is the wreck of the SS Wollongbar, which sank in a cyclone many years ago, offering good snorkelling opportunities. From here, all the way along Belongil Beach gets is good share of waves. It is great for both the experienced surfer and beginner.
